I provide accessible sessions using music-based methods that help each individual develop healthy self-identity through self-understanding, explore creative emotional outlets, and encourage them to not only adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life but promote adaptive interactions with the world around them without sacrificing their authenticity. Possible techniques to be used include but are not limited to lyric analysis, therapeutic singing, and percussive ensembles.
It is important to keep in mind that music therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: like any type of therapy, it is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the client and support circle alike. But in the end, these small but impactful changes come together to help address self-defeating behaviors and address symptoms to bring life-altering results.
